Teacher Guides

For every newsletter that our teen writers create, our staff puts together a companion guide for teachers. Each guide is closely linked to the content of one particular newsletter, but their cross-disciplinary activity suggestions can be useful to you using the content of the website as well.

The goal of the companion guides is to assist teachers to incorporate science into their classrooms. You’ll find suggestions of ways to use the newsletter articles with math, language arts, history and geography. There are also ideas for books that would be useful and fun for you and your students, and links to background information for you, the teacher. The most recent guides also include reproducible activity pages that you can photocopy for your students.

Below are some of our recent Greentimes Teacher Guides. Please feel free to contact us with your input about what is most useful and what you’d like to see that isn’t there.
